WorkSafeBC has approved Occupational Health and Safety policies that define workplace harassment and bullying as well as outline the duties of employers, workers and supervisors to both avoid issues and handle any that arise.
Some of the employers’ duties include developing and implementing procedures based on a policy statement for the workplace and dealing with incidents or complaints.
Supervisors are to comply with the employers’ policies and procedures and refrain from engaging in bullying and harassment.
Workers’ responsibilities include not engaging in harassment or bullying as well as reporting any observed or experienced incidents.
