February 10 through 16 is B.C. Restaurant Week — a time to appreciate the contribution restaurants make to the B.C. culture and economy. Across the province 12,000 restaurants employ more than 175,000 people, generating $10 billion in annual sales.
“By visiting a B.C. restaurant this week, you’re also putting your hard-earned money right back into the hands of small business owners,” says Ian Tostenson, president of the B.C. Restaurant and Foodservices Association. “That’s because of the 12,000 restaurants in our province, the vast majority are small businesses or independently owned.”
