On Saturday, Nov. 12 residents will again be able to receive a flu shot free of charge.
Between 5 and 7 p.m. the Cahilty Lodge will welcome anyone who would like to receive their annual flu vaccination.
The clinic is open to anyone on a first-come-first-served basis.
Robin Pozza, operation’s manager at the Sun Peaks Health Center, said it’s important to receive the shot, especially in a community with many international guests and contact with members of the public.
This year’s version of the annual vaccine protects against four types of influenza. Canada’s National Advisory Committee on Immunization recommends it for everyone older than 6 months.
