Garden Rail Jam wrap up


Another eventful Garden Rail Jam stormed the intermediate section of the Rockstar Energy Terrain Park in Sun Peaks on Sunday.

Complete with beats by DJ D-Funkt and over $4000 worth of prizes, riders of all ages competed in GROM, Junior and Open ski and snowboard categories.

Kent “Koach” Thiessen was hoping for a better turn out but gives props to those who showed up and threw down.

“The Open finals were awesome, seeing those guys throwing hammers down back and forth, they push each other pretty hard.” he says. “Overall it was a success, we had around 40 riders and even though snow conditions and weather weren’t optimal, JT, Birdman and the park crew had that park amazing, it was dialed in really well.” 

LucDalbire In the GROM category Luc Dalbire (pictured right) took the top spot in ski and Markus Abraham won board. Matt Putnam swept first in Junior Board and Cole Hooper took the Junior Ski category.



For the women, Zuzy Rocka (pictured left) clinched first in Open board and Jenna Anderson
was first in Open ski.





As for the men’s categories, after a massive finals, Graham “Birdman” Mear (pictured right) won the Open snowboard, with Geremy Guido claiming second. The Freeze brothers took the top spots in Open Ski with Daniel taking second and Dawson clinching first.
