It’s time to hit the course again with the Bluebird Day Fund’s 4th annual Giver Balls Golf Tournament.
This year the balls drop on Friday, Sept. 27 at the Sun Peaks Golf Course.
The tournament is best ball format, meaning all players tee off, select the best shot, then proceed to all hit from there, and so on. Play will be from the white tee boxes, except for holes five and 17, where play will be from the black tees giving players a chance at cashing in on two $5,000 prizes for hole-in-one shots. Prizes and games are to be had on all the other holes as well.
Registration for this fundraiser is $120 and includes course costs and dinner. Participants can sign up at Bottom’s Bar and Grill, or Oronge Boardshop by September 11.
The Bluebird Day Fund was established in memory of Bryn Taylor, who died in an automobile accident on November 1, 2006. Monies raised through the fund are intended to be used for the development of young people involved in the sport of snowboarding.
