Though smoke seems to have disappeared from the Heffley Louis Creek Road fire near Whitcroft, it is holding steady at 1.8 hectares.
Today 16 firefighters are fighting flames from the ground supported by three water tenders (tankers).
The fire is still considered out of control and no containment figures are available.
When the fire was first reported on July 26 it was 0.7 hectares. It is believed the fire was lightning caused.
