Kamloops RCMP seek missing Sun Peaks man

The vehicle Rouben was last seen driving.

Update April 23 11:59 p.m.: Rouben has now been located by RCMP and is no longer a missing person.


A Sun Peaks’ resident, 51-year-old Ronald Rouben, has been reported missing and Kamloops RCMP are seeking assistance locating him. Rouben was last heard from April 21.

According to social media posts Rouben missed a scheduled shift at the Sun Peaks Grand Hotel and has not been seen or heard from.

Rouben reportedly drove with a friend to the Kamloops Airport, arriving at 9:20 a.m. According to a social media post the last known contact Rouben had was a text at 10:30 a.m. and a cell phone ping placed him in Kamloops at 1:30 p.m. April 21. Friends report another ping placed him in Kamloops at 8 p.m. April 21. 

Rouben was driving a silver Mitsubishi RVR with an Alberta license plate, PSU 032. The car has reportedly not been subject to any police attention such as an accident.

Ron is middle eastern with brown hair and eyes and a beard. He is five feet five inches tall  and 180 pounds.
