With temperatures cooling off, but sun still prominent in the sky, it’s the perfect season to hop on a bike. If you’re looking for a good cause to ride for, the 18th annual MS Bike — Kamloops Thompson River Ride is taking place on Sunday, Sept. 22.
Cyclists begin and end the ride at Riverside Park, and can participate in 12, 28, 40, 57 or 100 kilometre distances. The ride kicks off at 9 a.m.
The MS Bike is the largest cycling series in North America — over 10,000 cyclists participated in 27 tours across Canada between June and September. The goal of the ride is to end multiple sclerosis, and funds raised from the events are used locally to assist people living with MS through programs in the Kamloops area.
