An unexpectedly warm spring lead to snow melting from much of the mountain and now skiing will be restricted to Mt. Morrisey as of Monday April 8.
The Morrisey chairlift and platter will be the only lifts open for skiers and boarders.
Alpine and Nordic tickets will be offered at 50 per cent off from April 8 until the resort’s last day of operations on April 14.
The weather has also lead to the cancellation of the Slush Cup event due to a lack of snow to construct the pit.
A statement posted by Tourism Sun Peaks (TSP) said the Umbrella bar will remain open and in good weather offer a BBQ and outdoor seating, The Annex will close as of April 8 and the in-resort shuttle will cease operations after April 7.
