Retro ConcertTribute acts to rock ‘n’ roll royalty including Johnny Cash, Kiss, ZZ Top, John Fogerty, Neil Young and Bon Jovi, will descend on Sun Peaks for the fifth annual Retro Concert Weekend August 15 to 17.

The free event will kick off on Friday evening with a Johnny Cash set by Big River, followed on Saturday by American Rock Legends rocking hits from Bob Dylan and John Fogerty, Legzz performing ZZ Top and Blaze of Glory embodying Bon Jovi. Christopher Nicolson, president of Tourism Sun Peaks, says the Retro Concert Weekend is an annual highlight for Sun Peaks.

“As a festival weekend it’s really grown for us over several years. It has gained its own momentum now. People come from all around B.C., and people who live in Sun Peaks often invite their friends up for this weekend.”

Nicolson said the Retro Concert Weekend has “struck a chord” with music lovers.

“It’s easy to dance to toe-tapping music that brings back a lot of good memories for people.”
