The Spring Festival celebrations kick off with an ‘80s retro weekend theme. Whether it’s a one-piece neon suit or shoulder pads, everyone is encouraged to wear their favourite costume straight out of this flashy era.
The Dummy Downhill is on Saturday, April 9. In this competition, engineering abilities are put to the test as participants outfit their own dummies with skis and watch their creations explode to smithereens at the bottom of the run.
New this season is the human dog sled race. Teams of four will test their strength by trying to pull a race sled in a 100 metre dash competition. The winning team will be chosen based on costume, fastest time and overall team spirit. This event is happening on April 9.
On Sunday, April 10, watch as a few brave souls compete in the Slush Cup. The Slush Cup features a man-made outdoor slush pool that contestants will try to traverse on skis or snowboard. Contestants are encouraged to don their best costumes.
Lastly, race with hordes of skiers and boarders during the last run of the season from the Top of the World to Bottom’s Bar and Grill. The first person to ring the bell at Bottom’s is crowned the Top to Bottom’s champion.
