The Sun Peaks Scouts are in need of some extra adult leaders to help out with the running of the Scouting program.
Colin Cannon said the program was a great way to give back to the community, learn some new skills, and get outdoors and explore Sun Peaks.
Cannon said the Scouts had plenty of activities planned for the coming months, including hiking to the Whitecroft waterfall; attending the week-long Pacific Jamboree camp in Sooke; visiting a local farm; and canoeing and kayaking at Little Heffley Lake.
Potential adult leaders were welcome to come along to a session or two to get to know the organization better before signing up.
The Sun Peaks Scouts meet Wednesday evenings at the Sun Peaks Grand Hotel and Conference Centre from 6 p.m. Anyone interested should contact Colin on 250-819-0032.
