A strong turnout at this year’s SUP for Pups event raised more than $500 for animals in need. The fundraiser saw locals, visitors and their canine companions take to the waters of Heffley Lake on September 11 for an evening of stand-up paddleboarding with the team from Paddle Surfit. Since Karen Guidos launched her brainchild Bikinis for Breast Cancer in 2009 she’s raised over $90,000 for breast cancer research between events in Lake Louise, Alta. and New Zealand.
