Public transit costings requested

The Sun Peaks Mountain Resort Municipality (SPMRM) has formally entered a request for B.C. Referendum on Health Centre expected

A public referendum is likely to be held later this year to determine whether or not the Sun Peaks Mountain Resort Municipality (SPMRM) can borrow up to $700,000 for the construction of the Sun Peaks Health Centre in 2016. Community groups receive funding


The Sun Peaks Mountain Resort Municipality announced a total of $6,000 in funding for several non-profit community groups at the municipality meeting on January 19, as part of an annual community grants funding round. Sun Peaks Mayor Al Raine tabled a preliminary financial report for 2015 at the Sun Peaks Mountain Resort Municipality meeting on January 19 — which included a delay on the construction of the health centre until 2016. Sporting infrastructure a focus for Municipality


Sun Peaks Mountain Resort Municipality will prioritize the completion of the full-sized ice rink and the development of the soccer and softball fields throughout 2015.
