Sun Peaks area residents are invited to help keep their bodies bug-free this flu season, by attending the 10th annual Sun Peaks Flu Clinic.
The clinic will take place at the Hearthstone Lodge from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 21.
“My goal this year is to see the whole community under the protection of the flu vac, especially the children,” says Sun Peaks Health Centre volunteer, Barb Brodie. “For the little ones, make sure they cough into their elbow, make sure they wash their hands, and you’re not being a hero by going to work (when you’re sick); be considerate of your co-workers.”
Similarly to last year the vaccines will be administered by Gail Carriere, and Amy Gorman.
Vaccinations are free, and available to anyone in the Sun Peaks and Heffley Creek region. Any leftover doses will be available through the Sun Peaks Health Clinic.
For more information on flu vaccines, Brodie encourages people to speak with their health care providers.
