TSP marketing pays off

TSP MagazinesWinter is coming, and with it comes a range of new skiing, snowboarding, and resort magazines.

From Ski Canada and Snowboard Canada, to Escarpment and S Europe, they’re all hitting newsstands across Canada and internationally this month, and Sun Peaks is featured prominently in all of them.

Christopher Nicolson, president of Tourism Sun Peaks (TSP), said the positive coverage was a result of several years of hard work by the TSP team.

“This year, Sun Peaks has grown in size to become the second largest resort in Canada. Coinciding with this physical growth is a significant presence of Sun Peaks in the nation’s ski media,” Nicolson said.

“This is not by accident. It’s a culmination of a massive behind the scenes effort by TSP and resort partners, which included inviting and introducing key people to the resort, winning bids for tests and more over the past three years.”

As well as increased magazine coverage, Sun Peaks was named Canada’s second best resort in the SBC Media Resort Guide, and profiled as a venue for national ski and snowboard testing.

Nicolson said the early season coverage was a huge positive for the resort, and commended TSP staff and the Sun Peaks community for their work in delivering great results.
