My earliest memories are all ones filled with weekend trips to Sun Peaks, from conquering the gentle giant at the age of two, to sharing trail mix on the chairlift, to getting lost in the West Bowl with my sister. There is something truly magical about growing up on this mountain and I couldn’t be more excited to be back in the community reporting on local issues, achievements, and events.
I graduated from the bachelor of journalism program at Thompson Rivers University with a major in public relations last year, moving to pursue a reporter position in the Rockies. During my time as a reporter in Invermere, B.C., my passion for adventure flourished challenging me as a skier, hiker, and mountain biker.
Leaving Invermere to pursue a more sports specific opportunity, I now have found myself blessed with the opportunity to join the team at SPIN. As the new part-time reporter, you’ll often find me on the mountain, camera in hand as I cover our weekend activities. With a passion for sports reporting I’m excited to bring more coverage for our local athletes and their achievements. I’m looking forward to sharing your story with our community and sparking a conversation on local issues.
After a few years away I’m eager to begin rediscovering my home mountain of Sun Peaks and all it has to offer in every season.
