78th annual PNE prize home draw happens today

Today, the lucky Grand Prize winner of the 2012 PNE Prize Home will be selected at 6:30 p.m.  sharp during a live draw on the PNE fairgrounds. The winning ticket will be drawn by Jillian Harris, Interior Designer for the PNE Prize Home. Mike McDaniel, PNE President and CEO, will phone the lucky winner of the Prize Home directly on live television.  If the winner is located in the Lower Mainland, the PNE will send a limousine to pick them up and bring them to the fairgrounds to see their new home. If the winner is located outside of driving range, they will be invited to come visit the home later in the week.

Boasting stunning mountain views, sprawling decks, and exquisite interior décor, the 3,000 square foot craftsman style home was designed by former ABC Bachelorette-turned-celebrity-home-designer, Jillian Harris. It features one-of-a-kind elements, including a ski-in-ski-out sports room with direct access to the slopes, and was inspired by the home’s final surroundings, Sun Peaks Resort.

Along with multiple fireplaces, and 20-foot vaulted ceilings, the lavish abode comes complete with three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a gourmet kitchen, professional grade stainless steel appliances, ample windows to allow for natural lighting, and an exquisite walk-in-wine cellar. Luxury extends outdoors with a hot tub, and outdoor fireplace, while the master en-suite’s dazzling chandelier, spacious walk-in closet, and chic stand-alone-tub offer a truly calming retreat. The home is fully furnished with hand-picked designer furniture, and features natural cork floors, and exposed wood beams and posts throughout – all of which add to the home’s cozy meets contemporary mountain charm.

The Grand Prize Winner will also receive a $2,500 grocery package from Market Place IGA, a year’s worth of MiniMaid housecleaning service and a one-year subscription to The Province.
