The leaves changing colours is just one sign that Thanksgiving Weekend is just around the corner. And Sun Peaks Resort is celebrating Thanksgiving with the 4th Annual Autumn Bounty Festival, Oct. 8-10.
A showcase of fine food and beverages, Autumn Bounty at the Delta Sun Peaks Resort hotel celebrates the great local offerings in the Thompson Okanagan Valley. Enjoy the fall colours, crisp air, Turkey Sale ski deals, and a selection of divine culinary events throughout the weekend at Sun Peaks.
New for the 2010 Festival, children can enjoy magic shows, art workshops and a movie night while their parents are in the next room taking part in a Whisky tasting or culinary luncheon.
Autumn Bounty kicks off on Friday, Oct. 8 with the Okanagan Spring’s Rocktoberfest, which will showcase a selection of seasonal tapas and regional brews from Okanagan Spring. Hosted in MackDaddy’s Nightclub by 97.5 The River, this event will be high energy!
The Winemaker and The Farmer returns once more to Autumn Bounty, as organic farmer Dieter Dudy of Thistle Farms and Jamie Cockerill of Prospect Winery host an entertaining lunch featuring organic produce.
The signature event of the weekend is not to be missed. The Saturday evening Autumn Bounty multi-course dinner is an ode to the season featuring local producers paired with top regional Chefs. Savour wine that sommeliers have strategically matched with each course. Make sure you drop by the Smirnoff Martini Bar and art exhibit on your way into dinner!
The Autumn Bounty Festival will also feature a special Farmers’ Market with a live Iron Chef Competition.
