Renowned Canadian artist Andrew Benyei will host “From Clay to Bronze: sculpting secrets revealed,” an après ski presentation, at Sun Peaks on March 9.
Best known for his expressive contemporary sculptures, Benyei has won numerous awards for his art and exhibited worldwide in his 20 years as a professional artist.
“Andrew has the ability to portray the spirit of his subject in both his paintings and sculptures. His sculptures capture human dynamics as well as the human condition as he interprets it in everyday life,” explained Maureen Walker a member of Art Zone’s executive committee.
“The results are works of art that are beautiful and often humorous and that show empathy for his subject.”
The presentation, facilitated by Art Zone, will take place at Cahilty Lodge from 3 to 5 p.m. with wine and appies. Tickets cost $25 for Art Zone members and $30 for non members.
