
With over 3,000 mountain enthusiasts braving the arctic temperatures on Monday, this year’s Toonie Day was a success at Sun Peaks Resort.
Over $4,400 was donated to the Kamloops Food Bank, all from the resort’s Toonie Day $2 lift passes. On top of that was the mass amount of food donated which, according to Joanne Foster, chief financial officer for Sun Peaks Resort Corporation, “was too heavy to carry in the events trailer alone; (Devon and Sam) had to put some of it in one of our pickup trucks. “
