Corporations hit the slopes

Suits and ties are being switched out for snow pants and ski jackets as businesses take to the slopes in teams of four for the TELUS Nancy Greene Corporate Challenge happening on Feb. 18 and 19 in Sun Peaks.

The challenge? One run down the giant slalom course for each team member, with each racer’s time contributing to the team total in an effort to win prizes. Medals will be awarded for teams in three categories: Sport TELUS Cup (all participants must be 19 years or older), Masters McSporties Cup (all racers 50 years or older), and Legends Rosedale Cup (all racers 60 years or older). Individual medals will also be awarded for the best male and female overall times for skiers and snowboarders.

More than just a fun race at Sun Peaks, it’s also a great cause as proceeds from the TELUS Nancy Greene Corporate Challenge will go to the Sun Peaks Health Association, the Royal Inland Hospital’s Emergency Department and Junior Racing.

Registration is $600 for a team or $150 for an individual. Those fees include tickets to the Saturday Celebration event, where there will be a silent and live auction benefiting the aforementioned charities.

Advanced registration required. Please e-mail Melanie at [email protected] or call 250-573-1941.
