NASCAR racer Jason White doubled his career best this season by landing a sixth place finish at the GP3R 100. The race was held Aug. 7 in Circuit de Trois-Riviéres in Quebec.

For the first time ever, the teams started a race in the rain. While the weather might have been less than ideal, White managed to climb his way up the ranks.

“I learned to get off the brakes early, let the car roll through the corners. It was really working for me,” said White, whose patience paid off with his fourth Top 10 finish this year.

“I’m really happy with how well the team performed this weekend. I can’t wait to get back in action at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve,” he said.

White’s next race will be on Aug. 20 at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal.
