Grades 4 and 5 ski for free

Students in Grades 4 and 5 can sign up to ski and snowboard for free courtesy of the Canadian Ski Council’s SnowPass program.

Sun Peaks Resort is one of the participating resorts where SnowPass holders are eligible for free lift passes.

If your child is born in 2000 or 2001, you can apply for the Canadian Ski Council SnowPass. There are two options: pick up an application form in person or apply online at www.snowpass.ca. Residents of B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba will be issued a Western Snowpass valid at 58 participating ski areas.

For the online application, you will need a proof of child’s age, your child’s picture, and a credit card for payment.

Mail in applications are available at elementary schools or any SportChek, Sport Mart, Sports Experts and Intersports stores nationwide.

The SnowPass also allows pass holders discounted rates for rental equipment and lessons.
