Cycling and fundraising will collectively reach new heights at the first ever indoor GranFondo fundraiser on Sunday, February 10.
Proceeds from the one of a kind GranFondo, hosted by the City of Kamloops, the MS Society and PacificSport, will go to the MS Society of Kamloops. It will feature Canadian Olympic mountain biker Catharine Pendrel.
The GranFondo, which translates from Italian to “big ride,” will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Tournament Capital Centre field house.
Participants can enter individually or as a team and can choose their ride time from four categories — two hours, four hours, six hours or any open amount of time. Participants are encouraged to bring their own bike and bike trainer as only a limited number of bike trainers and spin bikes will be available.
Entry is $50 for adults, $25 for youths aged 13 to 18, with children riding for free.
