Heffley Creek Eco-Depot hosts $20 dump day
The Thompson-Nicola Regional District will host a $20 Dump Day for Heffley Creek area residents on Saturday, Oct. 19 at the Heffley Creek Eco-Depot.
Between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. residents can bring in any amount of material equaling a disposal value of $20 or less free of charge to the Heffley Creek Eco-Depot, located at 7381 Sullivan Valley Road in Heffley Creek.
Any amount of material above $20 will incur tipping fees. This event is for residential waste only — no business or commercial loads will be allowed.
Scales will be used at the Heffley Creek Eco-Depot to determine whether a load meets the $20 threshold, based on regular tipping fees of $60 a tonne. Unit rates still apply to items like CFC appliances, furniture and tires on rims.
