A total of 235 people drove up to Sun Peaks to explore some of the most architecturally unique dwellings located in and around the resort during the Home Tour: Architectural Spaces.
The Home Tour is a fundraising event for the Kamloops Art Gallery, and was held for the first time at Sun Peaks this year during the resort’s annual Wine and Culture Festival weekend in July.
Featured were the houses at Tod Mountain Ranch, 2402 and 2412 Fairways Drive and 4145 Douglas Court.
Judy Basso, fundraising events coordinator for the Kamloops Art Gallery, confirmed that the event will return to Sun Peaks next year. “We found that it was a really good natural tie in for us with the Wine and Culture Festival.”
There were four beautiful houses showcased at the event, but surprisingly there was no unanimous favourite.
“I thought that there would be a clear favourite,” said Basso. “There was a real variety. That’s what we wanted, and we certainly got that. It really added to the success of the event.”
