The Sun Peaks Mountain Resort Improvement District ( SPMRID ) would like to remind all residents and eligible voters that a Municipal Incorporation Referendum will be held on Saturday, Jan. 30, 2010 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Delta Sun Peaks Resort.
The Referendum is being held to see if the community of Sun Peaks would like to become a Mountain Resort Municipality or if the community would like to retain the governance/service structure which is currently in place. (SPMRID, TNRD, Province of B.C.)
Voters are encouraged to review the findings of the Sun Peaks Incorporation Study Committee which spent several years studying the question of municipal incorporation.
