Marching in the music — let the good times roll

 | February 24, 2013

March music madnessA month of live music coupled with good food, drinks and company will rock Sun Peaks during the annual March Music Madness event.

The event began three years ago and was pioneered by local restaurateur and musician Peter Ernst. It’s expanded over the years to include other businesses and venues, with genres ranging from folk, country, boogie, blues, reggae, ska, electronic, punk and rock to definition defying originals and indie artists.

Ernst confirmed that Powder Hounds Restaurant and Cahilty Creek Bar and Grill will host March Music Madness events that will be “all live music, all handmade music.”
Tourism Sun Peaks (TSP) also plans to have on-hill afternoon gigs.

“(We’ll) book a band or artist every Saturday throughout the month of March,” said Janice Nankivell, events manager at TSP. “They’ll be performing at the base of Sundance chairlift outside the Village Day Lodge.”
