Local singer songwriter Margit Bull and her band Sweetgrass, with special guest Tracy Wright, will open for prolific Canadian musician Barney Bentall on November 11.
This is Bull’s second big show this year after opening for Kevin Costner and Modern West at Sun Peaks in July.
“It’s been a great year!” she says.
The Barney Bentall show takes place at the Sagebrush Theatre and is a fundraiser for the Alano Society of Kamloops (ASK). The society supports individuals as they pursue help for substance abuse problems.
“It’s quite the place with some of the nicest people I’ve ever met,” says Bull of ASK. “We’re excited to be doing this; it’s for a good cause.”
Bull and her band members Rod Bandura and Ron Corea will be releasing a new CD in the spring that will feature mostly original songs.
