The Sun Peaks municipal council is inviting members of the public to attend a public input session on Saturday, Feb. 26 at the Burfield Lodge starting at 3 p.m.
The council will be presenting the preliminary budget estimates for fiscal years 2011 to 2015 at the meeting comprised of the capital and operating budget. Input and requests from the public will be taken into consideration. The financial plan will be revised based on the outcome of the public input session.
The council will adopt two bylaws as a result of this process: a five-year financial plan bylaw and a tax rate bylaw. These bylaws must be adopted by council by May 15.
Anyone who cannot attend the meeting may send comments or input through writing. These items may be read at the meeting at the individual’s request and pending time constraints.
