A new home-based daycare has recently opened in Sun Peaks.
Tammy Nelson, a Sun Peaks resident, started operating the daycare at the beginning of March in her home on Sunburst Drive. Nelson previously operated a home-based daycare in Sun Peaks five years ago. She has completed child care courses at MacEwan University in Alberta as well as a CPR course.
The daycare is open five days a week from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and has six spaces available. Lunch and snacks are part of the services offered. After-school care is also available, including pickup from school.
Nelson said she’s flexible with arranging alternate drop off and pick up times and days.
