One injured in head-on collision on Heffley-Louis Creek Road

RCMP says that the accident is under investigation.

One person was taken to the hospital following a head-on collision on the road to Sun Peaks Sunday, Feb. 1, according to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP).

The crash involved two vehicles and occurred on 1100-block of Heffley-Louis Creek Road leading to the resort community.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and one individual was transported to the hospital for treatment, Staff Sgt. Dell Byron, in charge of the Rural Kamloopa RCMP Detachment, told SPIN. No further details about the condition of the injured person have been released at this time. The incident remains under investigation.

Drivers are reminded to exercise caution when travelling to and from Sun Peaks, particularly during winter driving conditions.
