The Sun Peaks Mountain Resort Municipality (SPMRM) and the Sun Peaks Seniors Advisory Committee will facilitate an Age Friendliness Open House forum on November 23. The open house will take place at the Hearthstone Lodge meeting room between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.
Rob Bremner, SPMRM chief administrative officer, said the open house would review key areas for seniors, thanks to a $20,000 grant from the Ministry for Health for age friendly community planning.
Bremner said quality of life for residents would be on the agenda, with Thompson Rivers University student researcher, Heather James, presenting her research.
Attendees will have the opportunity to discuss shortcomings and suggested improvements for the trail system and comment on the development of a seniors specific website for Sun Peaks.
