What began in 1934 as a novel concept of raffling off an 800 square foot bungalow has grown into one of the most successful prize home giveaways in North America — the PNE Prize Home Lottery. Tickets are now on sale for this year’s 3,000+ square foot Sun Peaks dream home.
Selected to design the 2013 Home is popular BC resident Jillian Harris, who first garnered international fame when she was featured on ABC’s hit reality shows, The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. Harris, selected for the second year to design the interior of the PNE Prize Home drew inspiration from the final location of the 2013 home, Sun Peaks Resort.
“The Prize Homes have certainly evolved over the years, but the tradition has remained,” said PNE president and CEO Mike McDaniel. “It’s quite interesting to see the evolution of the homes throughout the decades, and I can’t wait to see what Jillian comes up with this year.”
Since appearing on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, Jillian has returned to her first love of design. She has starred on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and has hosted HGTV’s Canada’s Next Handyman. Jillian now brings her flare for interior design to the 79th annual PNE Prize Home.
PNE Prize Home tickets go on sale today and are available online at www.pneprizehome.ca or via phone at 604-252-3688 or toll free at 1-877-946-4663.
