Runners compete off-road

5 Peaks is the only national trail running series in Canada and it’s happening on the mountain this summer. On July 10, runners from all over B.C. will converge in Sun Peaks to enjoy an off-road foot race experience.

Racers can compete in three categories. There’s a 1 kilometre Children’s Challenge Race, which will be held in front of the Delta Sun Peaks at 9 a.m.

For adult racers, there’s an 8.5 km Sport Course and a 15 km Enduro Course for advanced runners. Participants will be running amidst the wildflowers as both of these courses are set in the upper alpine. Races start from the Sunburst Restaurant at 11 a.m. The awards ceremony is at 2 p.m.

Participants can register on race day at the Village Square. Alternatively, an entry form is available online at the 5 Peaks website.
