The Kamloops Arts Council and Instinct Adornment are looking for individuals who would like to share their tattoo(s) with the public for the live tattoo exhibition, Body Beautiful: Art Redefined. The event takes place on Thursday, April 22, from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Instinct Adornment, 319 Victoria Street.
This is an opportunity for tattoo artists to exhibit their work that is never displayed in this manner, and for those who want to show off the artwork that they carry on their bodies. Each participant will be placed behind a suspended frame or on a plinth for a 20 minute set to display the artwork on their bodies. Participants with a number of pieces are welcome to sign up for multiple sets. The public is invited to view the “artwork” and ask questions about their origins, meanings and artists.
If you are interested, please contact the KAC by April 9 at 250-372-7323 or [email protected]
Body Beautiful: Art Redefined is the kick off for Downtown Artwalk and to celebrate Arts and Culture Week (April 18 to 24).
