The Rio Tinto Alcan Husky Nancy Greene Snow Star Festival returns to Sun Peaks March 23 and 24, welcoming 550 children to the resort to compete in two days of events.

The Snow Star Festival is the largest of its kind in Canada. The “Snow Stars” enrolled in the Nancy Greene Ski League compete in individual races and in skills competitions including jumping, ski cross, speed trap and bumps. New this year is the K1 Rock ‘n’ Roll Dual Race for skiers aged 10 to 12 on Friday night.

The Nancy Greene Ski League teaches skiers aged five to 12 free skiing and alpine ski racing skills with a focus of “fun” on skis.
