A romantic mountain wedding is the dream of many, and a new event from the Sun Peaks Grand Hotel will make that a reality for some couples this summer.
“I think that doing the full wedding isn’t always up everybody’s alley and it’s not always to everybody’s price point,” said Faith Yurkiw, weddings and events coordinator for the hotel.
With that in mind she designed the ultimate elopement package, Pop up in the Peaks, a pop up wedding service which takes away the stress of traditional wedding planning.
“I get a ton of inquiries for elopements but we don’t really have a package so I wanted to create something that was a little bit more set up, that I could just present to a couple that was like a one stop shop,” she said.
Included in the wedding package is a ceremony space, photography, and videography by Natalie Sky photography, officiant services by Kalynda Hampshire, a floral arrangement from Woodland Design Studio, dinner for up to 12 and a one night stay at the Sun Peaks Grand.
Couples looking to wed during the event are welcome to bring up to 10 guests and can choose from an intimate dinner with a menu designed by chef Hans Stierli or can join other couples and their families at Masa’s Bar + Grill for an outdoor celebration.
It’s set for Saturday, August 10 with ceremonies running from 10:30 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. Spaces are filling fast, interested couples can contact [email protected]
