Sun Peaks is set to turn up the summer vibes this weekend with its first-ever Endless Summer music festival, a DJ-centric celebration bringing beach energy to the alpine village.

The festival was born out of a simple idea: bring a quintessential summer atmosphere to the mountains.

“This year we’re doing a DJ-centric fest, but it could expand in the future to include reggae or other genres, anything that really captures the essence of summer,” executive director of Tourism Sun Peaks (TSP), Naomi Kerchinsky said.

Unlike larger, more intense music festivals, Endless Summer is designed to be approachable, especially for those who might feel out of place or priced out of bigger events like Shambhala or East Coast festivals.

“It’s for people who just want to hear great music and have a good time in a beautiful setting,” Kerchinsky said. “We’re not trying to compete, we’re offering a different experience.”

Attendees can expect a weekend full of music spread across three stages, all centered in the village. The Sun Peaks Centre Stage will be transformed into a vibrant, intimate nightclub-style venue complete with hammock chairs, immersive lighting and unique staging designed to bring performers closer to the crowd.

“It’s hard to visualize until the weekend comes, but seeing what the production team puts together is always the most exciting part for me,” Kerchinsky said.

The venue will be fully licensed, allowing guests to come and go as they please, whether to grab a bite in the village, shop or take a scenic chairlift ride through alpine wildflowers. A variety of vendors and beverage gardens will also be available on-site.

Additional music experiences will be hosted at Bottoms Bar and Grill and a free DJ-in-the-Park event will run on Sunday afternoon. Families are encouraged to bring blankets and enjoy the laid-back vibe next to the kid’s play area.

All are welcome

For those still deciding, tickets are available for purchase both online and at the door on Friday and Saturday. For a free taste of the festival, Sunday’s DJ-in-the-Park event offers an open, family-friendly option.

“If you’re curious, come check it out or just show up on Sunday for the free park event. It’s a great way to spend a summer day.”

Between the music, the relaxed atmosphere, and the stunning natural setting, Endless Summer is poised to become a signature event for Sun Peaks—offering festival-goers the best of both worlds: music and the mountains.

“You can come for the show, but we also have Mother Nature—one of the greatest shows on Earth.”
