Team building on the slopes

It’s time to put away the power point presentations and take team building to a whole new level during the TELUS Nancy Greene Corporate Challenge at Sun Peaks Resort, March 26 and 27.

This fun and friendly competition will have teams of four challenging a one-run dual giant slalom with the best time of each racer counting towards the team total.

And the pros will be on hand during this 14th annual event to offer some coaching tips! Olympic Champion and Sun Peaks Director of Skiing, Nancy Greene, will be joined on the slopes by Olympic and World Cup athletes Steve Podborski and Kathy Kreiner-Phillips.

The Corporate Challenge is a fundraiser for the Sun Peaks Health Association, Sun Peaks Junior Racers and the Royal Inland Hospital Foundation, and includes live and silent auctions during the Celebration Party on Saturday, March 27. There are over 100 items up for bid including 2010 Olympic swag, a brand new mountain bike, a houseboat trip and an original painting by Joanne Hastie!

There is still space available for teams to register. Team registration is $600 or you can sign up as an individual for $150. Every team must include at least one female and one male, and all participants must be at least 19 years old. Tickets for the Celebration Party are $65.

Medals will be awarded for teams in three categories:
1. Sport “TELUS Cup” (19 years or older)
2. Masters “McSporties Cup” (50 years or older)
3. Legends “Rosedale Cup” (60 years or older)

Individual medals will also be awarded for the best male and female overall times for skiers and snowboarders.
