With new features, electrifying events, and Rockstar Energy Drink backing the terrain park at Sun Peaks, it’s shaping up to be an epic season.
Over 9 acres is filled with features and jumps for skiers and snowboarders, and this year with support from Rockstar and the Bluebird Day Fund, there are even more features. Rail slayers watch out for a 20 foot flat box, two new 16 foot corrugated culverts, and a 30 foot straight rail, among others! Along with the new features, you can expect the highest level of maintenance and safety, and a fresh layout thanks to our dedicated park crew.
If you haven’t yet made it out to the park this season, check out one of these upcoming events.
The Garden – Feb. 14
Skiers and snowboarders will battle it out in jam sessions as the Garden, presented by Oronge Board Shop, drops at Sun Peaks. Grom, Junior and Women’s category winners will be determined from the jam session, but for the Men’s Open, the top five competitors will move onto the finals and take their best run of three.
Shredidential Election ’10 – March 14
Back by popular demand, the Shredidential from Oronge Board Shop is the largest park event of the season. Skiers and snowboarders will send it as they compete for cash and prizes in this slopestyle contest format!
Chairman of the Board – April 4
Presented by 378 Board Shop, Chairman of the Board will have snowboarders going head-to-head on three very different park features. At each feature, prizes will be awarded to the rider who throws down the best trick at that specific location. The overall winner will be the entrant who is the strongest rider and most consistent across all three features.
