Third classroom planned for Sun Peaks district school

IMG_7432 Projecting the number of kids planning to enter a community’s school can be tricky, but School District 73 reports that with 47 students registered for the 2013-14 school year, there are enough students to warrant a third classroom and additional teacher at Sun Peaks Elementary School.

“This is great news!” says Deanna Brady, principal of Sun Peaks, Heffley Creek and Rayleigh Elementary Schools.

The present expectation is that the classes will be divided into a kindergarten/Grade 1 split, Grades 2/3, and Grades 4/5/6.

There’s still a lot of time before classes commence again in September, so these breakdowns could change if enrolment numbers change.
