One event is sold out and tickets are going fast for the remaining events at the 3rd Annual Wine and Culture Festival next weekend at Sun Peaks, July 16-18.
The Sunburst Salmon Barbecue on Sunday afternoon is sold out, but there are still tickets available for the Saturday barbecue and Friday’s Symphony of Flavours.
The newest event of the festival takes place Saturday afternoon from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. At the Sip & Sizzle Wine Seminar, guests will deconstruct their favourite summer barbecue elements and pair each with a fabulous BC wine. Learn how to bring out the best in the flavours from your barbecue and sample favourites with Globe Café and Tapas Bar and local wine educator Gerrit Anderson.
The Art Walk is another favourite event at the festival and takes place Saturday afternoon. Guests tour through the charming village to select resort restaurants and learn about various art mediums from local artists. Sample fine B.C. wines and indulge in sumptuous tapas created by Sun Peaks’ chefs along the way.
Music will filter through the alpine all weekend at the festival as members of the Kamloops Symphony perform in the heart of the Sun Peaks Village, as well as at select ticketed events.
Quilting in the Mountains returns as part of the festival as well, with a Trunk Show and Dinner, a judged quilt show and a small Merchant’s Mall. Those looking to expand their skills can also sign up for one of three 2-day classes: Mary Ellen Hopkins Level 3, Asian Fusion, and Feathered Star.
It’s all happening July 16-18 at the third Annual Wine and Culture Festival at Sun Peaks Resort. To purchase tickets for festival events, call 250-578-5542. To register for Quilting in the Mountains classes or to book accommodation, please call 1-800-807-3257 or email [email protected].
