In the afternoon on Saturday, May 10 a two vehicle MVI involving a white compact car and a black SUV sent two females to the hospital via air ambulance and a third by ground.
“It looks as if the white vehicle was travelling from Sun Peaks towards town and the black vehicle was travelling towards Sun Peaks and for some reason the black vehicle came across the roadway into the oncoming path of the white car and they met head on here on the highway,” says RCMP Constable Eaket. “I don’t believe any of the injuries are life threatening at this time.”
Sun Peaks Fire and Rescue were also on scene, controlling the flow of traffic in order to allow ample room for the helicopters to land on the road.
