The Olympics are over, and it’s time to welcome athletes home.
On Saturday, April 5 a welcome back celebration for Sun Peaks slalom skier Elli Terwiel, Kamloops speed skating silver medalist Jessica Hewitt, and local Olympic officials will take place from noon to 2 p.m. at the McArthur Island Olympic Ice Sheet. It will include hearing the athletes speak of their Olympic experiences, as well as a chance to lace up the skates and try out speed skating.
