The Sun Peaks Health Clinic will be operating daily from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. until Sunday, April 10, the ski resort’s last day of operations for the winter season.
After this date, the clinic will be open Mondays and Thursdays only from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., depending on the availability of physicians. Doctors at the Sun Peaks Health Clinic volunteer their time and have to drive up from Kamloops. As the clinic depends on these volunteer physicians and staff, the operating hours are adjusted accordingly in keeping with the demand.
Fiona Fache, Sun Peaks Health Clinic’s volunteer coordinator and physician liaison, updates the recorded message with any changes in schedule.
“It’s always a good idea to call the health centre first and listen to the (phone) recording,” she said.
