Spring is the perfect time to break out retro ski gear, with warmer temperatures allowing riders to get a little wet while ripping down the hill. The Retro Days run is on April 6 and 7, and guests are encouraged to break out their flashiest outfits for the occasion. Whether it’s your mom’s beloved hot pink one-piece suit, an animal onesie, an audaciously flamboyant headband or even a pair of acid-washed jeans, no retro or weird outfit is too flashy for the final hurrah.

When you want to take a break from looking fabulous on the slopes, head to Sunburst Bar + Eatery for Lift and a Lager from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. on April 6. Enjoy a can of Grandville Island Brewing beer at the top of the Sunburst Express chairlift, free with your season pass or lift ticket.   Two pieces of identification are required for alcoholic beverages but freezies are on hand for a non-alcoholic alternative.
If this winter season had you dreaming of mountain biking, you won’t want to miss the Snow Way Down Bike Slalom. Tune up your ride and hop on the saddle from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. April 6 or watch the event from the sidelines. Located by the Village Carpet, the 12-plus event includes the chance to win a bike package for the 2024 season, which comes with two-day passes and one night at Sun Peaks Grand Hotel. Register online.

Sunday is another fun day, featuring the Slush Cup. Don a costume and try to glide across a huge pool of water.
