The holidays are about gathering with friends and family to celebrate the best of the season. Grab your skates and hit the outdoor ice rink, sit back and relax with a hot drink at a local café or join in with carolers strolling through the village.
Sun Peaks is a winter wonderland over the holiday season, making it the perfect setting for a Christmas getaway.
December 19 – Christmas Market
Finish your Christmas shopping in a traditional, festive environment at the Delta hotel in the Sun Peaks village. After a day on the slopes, warm up at the 2nd annual Christmas Market and peruse local arts and crafts, hand-made decorations, house wares and delicious organic meats and produce from area farmers and ranchers.
December 22 to 24 – Santa visits Sun Peaks
Santa Claus will be hitting the slopes, hosting village sleigh rides, and spinning on the outdoor ice rink before heading off on Christmas Eve to deliver presents to boys and girls around the world. Join him for breakfast before he heads out on the 24th.
December 28 – Alpine Harmony Concert
A unique and intimate setting at a private Sun Peaks chalet, relax with wine and tapas and enjoy a music ensemble.
December 29 – Sun Peaks Holiday Concert
Sit back and enjoy a selection of time-honoured favourites from members of the Kamloops Symphony Orchestra with some extraordinary young musicians at the 5th annual Sun Peaks Holiday Concert.
December 31 – New Years Festivities
Children will kick off the New Years Eve Celebrations with a Glowstick Parade, which will be followed by First Flight…a demonstration of slopestyle acrobatics not to be missed. Following First Flight, adults can participate in the Torchlight Descent on Sundance Mountain, a procession that creates an amazing pyrotechnical illusion.
