**UPDATE**
The free outdoor concerts will now be held in the P3 parking lot, outside the Village Day Lodge, not slopeside.
As if Sun Peaks residents weren’t enjoying enough free live music with March Music Madness, the Dew Tour AM Series have confirmed their line-up of musical talent for March 27 and 28, and it makes good on their promise to deliver a bigger and better line-up than last years packed out Sheepdogs concert. Artists this year are:
Shred Kelly: Fernie folk band Shred Kelly will hit Sun Peaks, fresh off the success of their third album, Sing To The Night, which was released in January. Shred Kelly’s blend of folk music with contemporary sounds has led to sold-out shows across Canada.
Tokyo Police Club: As previously reported by SPIN, Ontario indie-rockers Tokyo Police Club will headline Friday night’s concert. The band has performed at some of the world’s biggest music festivals including Coachella and Lollapalooza and toured with Foster the People. They’re fourth album, Forcefield, was released in 2014.
Scott Helman: A Toronto based singer/songwriter heavily influenced by The Beatles and Bob Dylan, 2015 may be Helman’s big year, with performances across Canada leading up to the Squamish Music Festival in August.
Mother Mother: Quadra Island indie-rockers Mother Mother are set to headline Saturday night’s concert. Mother Mother have previously opened for The Cat Empire and performed at the Pop Montreal Festival. This year, they will be playing at two of North America’s biggest festivals, Sasquatch and Squamish.
The free concerts will be held in P3 starting from at 7:15 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights.
